Artist's Comments

Today I wake up and went to the outside to see the weather. It was a raining cold morning and then I saw a little brown jumper. I got my D80, and tried to make some shots, but was a faster and energetic jumper hehe. In a luck time he jumped in my arm and I made some pictures.

This is the best in my opinion.

I found a very good video of a jumping spider hunts a bee: [link]

Sorry for my English.

Critiques

I have a tendency to overlook the difficulty in a macro photo because it's photography and not gymnastics -no one gets points for difficulty. But to take a shot of a tiny jumping spider while it's on your arm and to nail the composition, lighting, and focus is the work of a shooter who has a great deal of skill behind the camera! Excellent details, incredible lighting, and the perspective that the hair adds to the image make this photo of a jumping spider an easy fave! I also like how the spider's right front leg is out of focus and high, because it gives the impression of movement -brilliant!

I'm sorry, but I cannot reply and thank you all because of the filter which doesn't allow me to post too many messages in a row!

The focus is absolutely brilliant; all those hairs around it!
And I must say...you're very brave ;P
